I'm sure you all noticed the gold book on my home page and may be wondering why, of all the images I could use to signify Tarot, I chose a rather nondescript journal. This is actually my book of spreads.
Ooo, now you're interested! Yes, indeed, in my Tarot bag, along with my reading decks, an amethyst wand, a coin from Guatemala, and a copy of Psychic Tarot, I also keep this little gem and a few purple pens. (You can never have just one purple pen!)
Now that we've cleared that up, how about a first spread to really get things going? This spread is rather apropos because I created it on New Year's Day a few years back, using two decks (Tarot of Transformation and The New Star).
Since my handwriting is nearly illegible, I won't torture you with the photographs of the next two pages, I will simply write out what I have.
To preface this spread, I wrote:
Hope (Janice) of the Hope Interfaith Center once said at every place on our path, there are points of light radiating out from us - paths behind us that all would have led us here & paths ahead we may choose to take. This spread done on 1/1/11 makes a good overview spread!
1A & 1B = Where I am and what of my past/present I am working on/is most contributing to where I am.
2A - 4A = Where I can go/am heading (paths are not mutually exclusive)
5A - 10A = Continuation of the path
2B - 4B = What came before that has brought me here.
5B - 10B = Further illustration of the paths
11A & 11B = Work/paths you wish to get more info on that did not come up
12 A&B, 13 A&B = Further info on the paths
14A & 14B = Clarity cards used as needed
Go forth and use this spread, just please give me credit!
