I don't know about the rest of you, but I have a super hard time keeping up my daily Tarot practice. Sometimes you can get so caught up reading for others, that you forget to just spend time - you and your cards.
There is a year-long exercise in Psychic Tarot that I did many years ago with my Tarot of Transformation deck that involves really going in deep with the cards. Taking each one and analyzing the symbolism, depictions, colors, and seeing how they speak to you. I've often thought I should take that same time with my other regular reading decks. Though, when reading and playing (you should approach your cards in many moods, as Nancy says. Be playful with them sometimes. You don't go to your friends only when you're in trouble, you shouldn't go to your cards in crisis all the time, either) for myself, I almost exclusively use the Tarot of Transformation, with a smattering of the others, most notably the New Star deck.
